As winter bears down upon us, we tend to bundle up, put our heads down and soldier on. People walk by without a word because their eyes are glued to the street. We have found a way to lead hearts and minds towards thoughts of Advent, by taking advantage of this “posture” we all seem to adopt in winter.
During the four weeks of Advent, we would like to pose a question (a different one for each week) to all who are looking down. Just write it on the street with chalk!
The questions are:
1. What are you waiting for?
2. Are you listening?
3. How do you know?
4. Are you ready?
You can also identify the message by drawing a Christian symbol - the cross - a fish - three intertwined circles and the Episcopal shield next to the message, though that is up to you. Something like this:
------------

The idea is to create dialogue, internal and/or external We together are Church in the World.
If you feel like it, take a picture of it and send it to karenmcos@gmail.com (along with thoughts o texts that inspired you) and it will be posted on our blogspot, 50dh.blogspot.com. Lets start some conversations.
